Who we are
Procirel is an independent engineering publication founded and led by Oliver Adam, M.S. Electronics (Power Systems). Oliver writes and verifies the guides, curates the reference data behind our interactive calculators, and maintains the site’s technical direction. Supporting roles, technical review, copy editing and community reports, are handled by the extended Procirel editorial team.
How a tutorial is made
- Topic selection from real gaps. Topics come from search data, reader questions via our contact form, and problems that actually appear on the bench, not from content calendars.
- The circuit is physically built. Every project, wiring diagram and measurement is created on real hardware. Nothing is illustrated from imagination.
- Numbers are measured, not copied. Voltages, currents, timings and waveform captures come from multimeters, oscilloscopes and analysers used during the build.
- Technical review. Formulas, values and safety statements are cross-checked against component datasheets and recognised standards (IPC-2221 for PCB traces, E12/E24 series for resistors, and similar).
- Publication with full context. Each article carries its author, publication date, update date and related tools so you can judge the source, the way we describe in our mission.
- Scheduled re-verification. Guides covering prices, tools or component availability are revisited regularly; verified updates are stamped on the article.
Our publishing standards
- No filler. If a section does not help you build, choose or understand something, it is cut.
- Formula transparency. Every calculator shows the exact formula used, including the standard it comes from.
- Safety first. Mains-voltage and battery content carries explicit precautions and limits.
- Independence. We do not accept payment for coverage. Tools are recommended on merit and bench experience.
- Corrections in public. Errors are fixed and the update date is changed, silently rewriting history is not our way.
